The title of this Conference is:
WATER IN THE MEDITERRANEAN.
Collaborative Euro-Mediterranean Research: state of the art,
results and future priorities
This conference shall not only present the achieved research results but
also help to identify priority topics for future Euro-Mediterranean co-operative
RTD activities. To this end it will also establish the general context
by exchanging information on various national and international water related
research initiatives in the region. It will further on offer a platform
to potential users of the research results (research policy makers, water
and land-managers, industry, consumer,...), comment on the work carried
out so far and formulate, together with the assembled scientific community,
guidelines for future activities.
It will present the achieved research results obtained by most of the projects
under the EC-AVICENNA and INCO initiatives and will identify priority topics
for future Euro-Mediterranean co-operative RTD activities, exchanging information
on research on the common subject of “WATER”.
Four working groups will allow all the scientists who will offer their
contribution to present their work and discuss with an interested and knowledgeable
audience. Every day a poster session and a general discussion will follow
each group of presentations in order to highlight for the other attendees
the conclusions and results they have reached.
English language will be used throughout the Conference. .
