1950 Graduated at the University of Bologna

Academic and Professional Experience

1950-1960 Assistant-professor at the Hydraulic Institute of University of Bologna.

1962 He was promoted, by open competition, to his present position at the University of Genova.

1970 He was invited speaker on the "Problems of Po Regulation and Flood Control" at the " Tulla Tagung" in Karlsuhe.

1977 He was invited speaker on the "Problems of vertical Wall Breakwater Design" at the XVII Congress of the IAHR held in Baden-Baden.

1983 General lecturer at the Conference "Laguna, fiumi e lidi" of Venice.

1990 General lecturer at the Symposium in honour of G. De Marchi in Milan.

1992 General lecturer at the "23rd Inst. Conference on Coastal Engineering" (ICCE `92) in Venice.

E. Marchi has been:
